By accessing or using Share Markdown Files ("Service"), operated at sharemarkdownfiles.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Share Markdown Files allows users to upload, share, and preview markdown (.md) files via unique shareable links. Files uploaded by guests expire after 7 days. Registered users can save files permanently.

3. User Accounts

You may use the Service without creating an account. If you sign in via Google, you authorize us to access basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) to manage your account. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload files containing malicious code, malware, or harmful content
  • Use the Service to distribute illegal, defamatory, or infringing material
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service infrastructure
  • Automate uploads or scrape content without prior written consent
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation

5. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and serve your files for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

6. File Expiration

Files uploaded without an account are automatically deleted after 7 days. We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from file expiration. Registered users' files are stored indefinitely unless manually deleted or the account is terminated.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, service interruption, or unauthorized access to your files.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to the Service or other users.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
